The waste and recycling industry is an extremely competitive industry and as public funds reduce the industry is looking at more ways to reducing their operating costs and thereby increase its profit.

 The collection and handling of the waste regardless of type spanning the domestic household waste collection, to the crushing of cars to shears and balers use hydraulics in far from ideal operating conditions. The hydraulic oil in these systems is quickly contaminated with moisture, air and particulates. Removal of these contaminates has huge beneficial advantages as operating costs are reduced; breakdowns are minimized and substantially reduces the companies carbon footprint. We foresee in the future that as the industry grasps the benefits on its fixed installations it will start to consider the benefits and reduced operating costs the equipment will generate when used on the forklifts, the 360  dgree grab/loaders and skip lorries.

The use of Cleanse-oil equipment on a monitored hydraulic system showed the following:-

• Power consumption reduced by 30%
• Equipment performance improved by 10%
• Equipment function improved by 33%

In monetary terms this equated to a monthly saving of £ 2,000per month in fuel, a reduction in labour costs of £ 5,000 per month and enabled the business to quote for additional contracts.  

We are currently evaluating the costs that can be enjoyed by the domestic waste collection industry. Early data indicates that a saving of £1,800.00 to £ 2,000.00 per vehicle per year and this does not take into account the savings in less maintenance and repair costs.
